Egypt’s Tortures: Whole Family Tortured in Sharqiya
The series of torturing citizens still goes on in police stations. Despite the shameful scandal dealt to the Egyptian police after revealing the issue of mass detentions and mass tortures at the Alexandria police station of Al-Muntazah, more and more scandals are revealed every day implicating elements affiliated to Egyptian Interior Ministry.

The series of torturing citizens still goes on in police stations. Despite the shameful scandal dealt to the Egyptian police after revealing the issue of mass detentions and mass tortures at the Alexandria police station of Al-Muntazah, more and more scandals are revealed every day implicating elements affiliated to Egyptian Interior Ministry. Meanwhile, the driver who told the police that he was beaten by Mohamed, came to the police station and backpedaled from his charge. However, the officer did not recognize this retreat and continued insulting and torturing the family. On Thursday evening July, 19th, 2007, the uncle of the defendant submitted a complaint at the Interior Ministry protesting at the tortures committed against his sister"s family by an officer at Zagazig police station and especially detaining the baby who suffered from an acute cold due to sleeping with his mother, grandmother and uncle on the floor of the prison. |
