The Court of Appeals rejected an appeal by 45 Engineering students from Ain Shams University who were arrested while vacationing in an Alexandria summer resort of Al Hanoville

"Unfortunately the court upheld the prosecution’s jail decision" said Khalaf Ahmed, a member of the defense team of the MB students.

"The defense submitted to court all documents proving that the students should be immediately released. The students were in a public summer resort and didn’t have or did anything to incriminate them" said Khalaf.

"The court ruling to reject the appeal was unexpected in light of the strong evidence we submitted, However, we respect judicial ruling" said the MB lawyer.

The court session was held in Alexandria complex of courts at Manshiya. All families and university colleagues of the detained students attended the court. Before deliberations, security moved the students back to prison without explaination .
