Yesterday, the Administrative Court, during its hearing session, dismissed the case brought by five members of the Moslem Brotherhood. They appealed that their criminal record should be free of court-martial rules in order to be able to run for the parliamentary election.

The reason of the court decision is that the criminal record contains all crimes and sentences of the said person till proved innocent. The court found that the plaintiffs have been court martialled and have not proved innocent. So their criminal records should contain these sentences, in accordance with the provisions of the law.

The court, in addition, dismissed a case sued by the same plaintiffs in order to confirm their right to have certificates of exemplary demeanor during their prison terms. The court said that the plaintiffs have not submitted applications to the Interior ministry in this respect.

The court, moreover, claimed incompetent to consider the case of rehabilitation brought by the same plaintiffs. The court explained that the Martial Court is the competent body.
