A Demonstration to Release el-Erian and Others

The National Committee in Defense of the Opinion-related Prisoners, headed by the journalist, Muhammad Abdel Qudoos, will organize a massive demonstration in front of the Egyptian Physicians’ Syndicate, on Monday 10th of Oct. The demonstration aims at calling for the release of Essam el-Erian and other members of the Moslem Brotherhood have been detained since five months.

 

Muhammad Abdel Qudoos said that many political powers and professional syndicates will participate in this demonstration, among them the Moslem Brotherhood, the Syndicates of  Lawyers and Physicians, Keefaaia Movement, the Parties of el-Amal and el-Karama, Youth for Change Movement, and the Revolutionary Socialists.

 

Essam el-Erian, a leading member in the Moslem Brotherhood and the treasurer of the Physicians’ Syndicate, along with other members of the movement have been arrested by the Egyptian security bodies since five months. The detainees have been charged with being members of the banned Moslem Brotherhood as well as holding anti-ruling-system demonstrations in Egypt.
