Administrative Justice Suspends Elections in 3 Monofiya, Beheira Constituencies

Hours before the kickoff of the Egyptian Shura Council midterm elections, the State Court issued a ruling of stopping elections in constituencies of Quwisna and Birket El-Sab and Talla and Al-Shuhadaa in Monofiya and Itay Al Barud in Al Beheira because names of the Muslim Brotherhood candidates have been excluded from candidates election lists.

For his part, Salah Al Semari the Muslim Brotherhood candidate in the Shura Council midterm elections for Birket El-Sab constituency, Monofiya told Ikhwanweb that:" The Administrative Court in Shibin Al Kawm, Monofiya issued its landmark ruling of stopping elections in constituencies of Quwisna and Birket El-Sab and Talla and Al-Shuhadaa in Monofiya and Itay Al Barud in Al Beheira because names of the Muslim Brotherhood candidates haven’t been added to the candidates election lists.

Al Semari welcomed the ruling and considered it another proof on the integrity and fairness of the Egyptian Justice.
When asked whether the court ruling will be implemented, Al Semari said:" The Interior Ministry is unfortunately seizing every chance to show its disrespect to court rulings. Therefore I do not expect the Interior Ministry to implement this ruling, something blatantly declared by state security officials in public .

Al Semari pointed out that he is heading for the Higher Election Committee to demand implementing this ruling and respect justice
