In a dramatic fallout of the military tribunal against forty Muslim Brotherhood (MB) leaders, famous lawyer Ragaae Atiya declared on Sunday Dec, 23rd, 2007, withdrawing from the defence team of the MB leaders.
Ragaae Atiya, who ran for the post of Egyptian Bar Association chief- did so protesting at the unjust decisions issued by the court against the defendants. The court added more charges of running assets of the Muslim Brotherhood group against Khairat Al-Shater and Hassan Malek without taking the required administrative and legal procedures for such a charge.
