2 MB Members Arrested in Daqahlia

The Egyptian State Security Police stormed into the house of Mr. Al-Shathhat Al-Saeed Abdu, 60 years old, head of bureau of Mr. Tarek Qotb, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood Parliamentary bloc.

 The Egyptian State Security Police stormed into the house of Mr. Al-Shathhat Al-Saeed Abdu, 60 years old, head of bureau of Mr. Tarek Qotb, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood Parliamentary bloc.
 
Al-Shahhat’s wife said,
“We were surprised today to find a great number of security forces besieging our house at 3am. They broke into the house after breaking the door, took many books tapes, papers, and other belongings of Al-Shahhat.”
 
Security forces also seized some documents related to the context of the current MB military tribunal’s case, and arrested Al-Shahhat.
 
In the same context, the Egyptian State Security Police have arrested Dr. Abdul-Dayem Sherif, head of the department of Botony in Al-Mansoura university, in a continuation of the arrest campaigns practiced by the Egyptian authorities against the Muslim Brotherhood group before any election.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Muslim Brotherhood have not yet decided whether they would participate in the coming provincial elections or not.
