12 MB members arrested in Alexandria

The Egyptian government continues to escalate its campaign against the Muslim Brotherhood(MB) members today morning in an unpredictable escalation without any clear justification.
State security forces have arrested 12 MB members in Alexandria today( Tuesday Jan., 22, 2007 ) dawn, including the MB prominent leader, Ali Abdul-Fattah, and the MB lawyer Khalaf Bayoumi. The names of today’s detainees known by Ikhwanweb till now are: Ali Abdul-Fattah Khalaf Bayoumi Nasr Kamel Ismail Mahmoud Ashraf Abdul-Aziz Mohamed Kamal Ramadan Sanad Dr. Abdul-Qader Al-Shishtawi Ahmed Bakry Ahmed Bakry Abd alNasser It’s noteworthy that today’s detentions comes after the sit-ins and protests held yesterday denouncing the Israeli humiliation of the Palestinian people. The number of Muslim Brotherhood members arrested in Alexandria within this week has exceeded 46 members. |
