The Cairo-based Higher State Security Prosecution released, on Sunday, May, 13, 2007, the Monofiya university students; these students were ordered jailed by Shibin Al Kawm prosecution for 15 days on charges of belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood group.

The students were kidnapped by the security forces in front of the Monofiya university on Sunday April, 15, 2007, while heading for the university to organize an artistic festival.
