Prominent UK writer Robert Fisk condemned Arab and Islamic regimes and said that the Arab and Islamic world is now living under the slogan:" silence them, charge and jail", pointing out that these actions are carried out by security services that jail peoples. Fisk also spoke abut the so called the Damascus spring following the departure of Hafez al-Assad in 2000, saying: "Such "spring" did not portend a "golden" summer for Syria, as the policy of knocking doors in the middle of the night has returned and doors of cells were opened again. |
