Five Leading MBs Arrested in Monofia, Candidate Kidnapped in Damietta

The Egyptian security forces launched a new arrest campaign Saturday dawn including five leading MB figures in Monofia governorate: Naguib Athareef, Dr. Muhammad Ayyad, eng. Ahmad Al-Hefnawi (city of Shebeen), Mahmoud Abdullah (city of Shebeen), and Hajj Ashour (Sars Allyyan).

Egyptian security forces launched a new arrest campaign Saturday dawn including five leading MB figures in Monofia governorate: Naguib Athareef, Dr. Muhammad Ayyad, eng. Ahmad Al-Hefnawi (city of Shebeen), Mahmoud Abdullah (city of Shebeen), and Ashour (Sars Allyyan).
 
On the other hand, the state security forces kidnapped Hashem Usaili, MB candidate for municipal elections in Damietta city, while he was walking with his daughters on Friday in Damietta.
 
On Friday evening, Usaili was walking along with his daughters when a private vehicle blocked his way and two persons pulled him forcefully into the vehicle.
 
Fathi Shehabu- Deen, MB leading figure in Monofia, stressed that such crackdown against the MBs across Egypt is an indication of the regime"s failure and tyranny. He added that despite the arrests and all attempts to curtail the MB reform efforts, the MB will never back down and will continue its struggle against tyranny and oppression.
