The General Secretariat of the Moroccan Justice and Development party (PJD) welcomed the Security Council resolution approving the Moroccan initiative that gives autonomy to southern regions. The PJD considered, in a statement it issued in a weekly meeting, that the Moroccan credible efforts are a natural result of Morocco’s wide diplomatic efforts. It demanded Moroccan officials to maintain the same active dynamics and sense of initiative on domestic and foreign levels and to move beyond the Security Council resolution, to avoid any " efforts from other parties that seek to stall the Security Council resolution or hurt the wide international response to the Moroccan suggestion."

For his part, Dr. Saad Al-Othmani, the PJD Secretary-General considered the Security Council’s attitude and the international response to the Moroccan initiative as a good step that confirms the party attitudes demanding Morocco to take more initiatives that lead to a political solution, within the national sovereignty, to be a final solution for the Moroccan Western Sahara problem.

Al-Othmani added in a statement to Ikhwanweb that the Moroccan Western Sahara problem needs serious and bold attitudes and a continuous dialogue among all parties to a final solution for this problem.

This initiative from the part of the government is a positive signal towards launching an effective dialogue to end this problem, he added.

And the Ottoman demanded all of the parties that they have a real desire for ending this crisis And if all works for the Moroccan unity.
