Ikhwanweb confirms that Khaled Hamza, Ikhwanweb chief editor, has been released shortly from jail. Khaled has left the prison compound and now on his way to his house to reunite with his family. Khaled was arrested on Feburary 20 as part of the Egyptian government crackdown on Muslim Brotherhood activists during the preparations for the municipal elections which was held on April 8 and was eventually boycotted by the MB Ikhwanweb congratulates Khaled for his freedom and his safe return to his family and friends. We pray for the day when all prisoners of conscience in Egypt as well as tens of millions of Egyptians who are suffering at the hands of a brutal and tyrant regime will enjoy their freedom Khaled requires immediate medical care after his condition detriorated inside the prison due poor sanitary conditions and lack or proper medical care. khaled sent a message to thank all those who supported his case and called for his release. Khaled will resume his work as Ikhwanweb""s chief editor after a brief period of rest. . |
