Mohamed Saad Al-Katatni, chief of MB parliamentary bloc, called on the People’s Assembly to form a fact-finding committee to disclose what happened in Al-Mahalla.

He indicated that Egypt is witnessing an unprecedented era of strikes and sit-ins with the participation of the majority of Egyptians including Doctors and  university professors.

During the parliamentary session on Sunday, Al-Katatni said: "We support peaceful strikes as a legal right of citizens, however we are against destruction and chaos, because the state"s foundations are owned by all Egyptians." He said the government policies led to such public discontent.

Hussein Mohamed Ibrahim, deputy chief of MB parliamentary bloc, condemned the riots that took place in Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra. While discussing Mahalla"s events, he said, "We condemn both destruction and haphazard arrests,"and called the parliament to examine the reasons for such public discontent through holding hearings of experts and specialists from all currents to analyze these catastrophic events.
