The military Judge has ratified the rulings passed against 18 of the MB leading figures topped by Khairat El Shater (second deputy of the MB chairman) who received prison sentences ranging between 7 to 3 years in Turah Farm prison.

MB Lawyer Abdul-Monem Abdul-Maqsoud stated that ratification of verdicts is nothing but a confirmation of a series of unjust trial procedures. The military tribunal lacked the least principles of due process, denying defendants the right to appear before a civil judge.

He told Ikhwanweb that the defense panel has not received the verdicts official document so far. After receiving the verdicts, the defense panel will meet to discuss the necessary procedures for the next phase after consulting the jailed MBs.

He indicated that the defense panel is still waiting for the Administrative Judiciary Court decision regarding the lawsuit calling for halting the imprisonment of the 18 MB leaders and releasing them because they have been jailed without legal or constitutional evidence.
