CAIRO, (PIC)-- Twenty three Arab human rights organizations called Sunday on the Egyptian authorities to immediately allow the Palestinian students stranded in the Gaza Strip to travel through the Rafah border crossing in order to resume their studies and scholarships in Arab and foreign universities.

In a joint statement received by the PIC, the organizations strongly denounced Israel"s continued siege on Gaza in coordination with the Egyptian government which led to the increase in suffering of more than one and a half million Palestinians living in the Strip.

The statement pointed out that the IOA attempts to recruit those students to work as collaborators in return for allowing them to leave Gaza.

In another context, Italian political science specialist Natalie Totshi expressed her fears, in a study published in a quarterly political magazine issued in Ramallah, of the idea of deploying foreign troops in Gaza.

She said these troops could be biased against the Palestinian citizens in favor of Israel and used to disarm the Palestinian factions while leaving Israel loose on the Palestinians.
