Egyptians Against Torture Movement requested a full investigation with all security leaders who were involved in the events of Al-Jazeera Islamic School. In their statement, they disapproved of the oppressive methods used by the security agencies against the citizens, considering the statement a general complaint filed to the Attorney General. The movement promised to track down the officer who tortured the people, especially in the case of Hamada Abdul-Latif, who suffered paralysis as a result of the severe torture at Al-Dekhela police station, confirming that it will not allow the perpetrator of this hideous crime to escape from justice. Alhamrawy demanded the immediate release of the detainees and an investigation with the officer on charges of attempting to murder citizens and causing deformities in their bodies, and requested the re-opening of Al-Jazeera Islamic School in compliance with judiciary order. The prosecution had accused the prisoners of assembling, insulting the deputy officer of Al-Dekhela police station, disrupting transportation means, and logging.
