Rights Activists Warn of Serious Confrontations Between People and Police
Khater stated that the outbursts of violence directed at the police are logical result of the deliberate torture and the disrespect of citizens by many police officers and sergeants. He put part of the blame on the presidents and his government’s policies which failed to provide citizens with security and deter criminals especially when the core of police forces is directed to suppress political activists and members of the opposition.

Tarek Khater, human rights activist and President of the Legal Aid Assembly warned in an exclusive statement to ikhwanweb of bloody confrontations between citizens and the police because of police brutality.
 

Khater stated that the outbursts of violence directed at the police are logical result of the deliberate torture and the disrespect of citizens by many police officers and sergeants. He put part of the blame on the presidents and his government"s policies which failed to provide citizens with security and deter criminals especially when the core of police forces is directed to suppress political activists and members of the opposition.
