State Security Police forces Monofiya besieged the complex of faculties and its gates. This siege was imposed due to an artistic festival which Muslim Brotherhood students in Monofiya university have declared days ago; The forces provocatively searched passengers of taxis which were going to the complex of faculties, and searched most students at the university gate .

This led to arresting dozens of students in front of the gate, and confiscating their mobile phones and some laptops, in addition to denying hundreds of students access to their classes, lest they watch the student artistic party .

They even prevented any student from getting out from the university gate, specially after some students were detained, violating the sanctity of the university campus by these state security forces !!

For his part, Amr Hamed Amin, the secretary general of the free student unions in Egyptian universities, said that these measures are provocative and confirm how far the security forces are controlling Egyptian universities .

Amr added in a statement to Ikhwanweb that:" Unfortunately, the university administrations are actually receiving instructions from the state security which has the upper hand in Egyptian universities.

Hamed confirmed that these totally unacceptable measures in the university are only increasing the students’ anger towards the administration and the Egyptian regime in general .
