The State Security Investigations Bureau arrested six MB affiliates in Alexandria yesterday night, Monday, October 27 from one of their houses.  The detainees who are currently being held in the Investigations Bureau and expected to be presented before prosecution in the next few hours are:  Mahmoud "Awad, an auditor in the Cairo Company for Cotton, Samir El-Malihy Mohamed Abdul-Fattah, a veterinarian, Mohamed Abdul-Latif, a civil engineer, Sameh Hammam, an English teacher, and Hasan El-Hoseiny, an employee in the Company for Transportation and Engineering.

Egyptian security authorities have been combating the MB targeting many of its leaders and affiliates.  In his statement to Ikhwanweb, Khalaf Bayyoumi, lawyer of the MB in Alexandria, stressed that the general aim of arresting MB affiliate is to abort its efforts adding that in reality these attempts will end in failure.  Khalaf also verified that there is no legal justification for arresting MB members as they have not committed anything that was prohibited or punishable by law.
