MP Mona Mansour has appealed to the world at large and the Arab countries in particular, to expedite relief assistance to the besieged Gaza Strip following the torrential rains that flooded large areas of the Strip and caused severe material damage. Mansour in a press statement said that the big damage could have been avoided if the Israeli occupation authority did not impose its tight siege and did not restrict entry of necessary material to complete construction of vital infrastructural projects. She hoped that the scenes of flooded homes would spur the world conscience into breaking its silence towards the siege. The MP noted that aid was direly needed in the Strip in all sectors affected by the floods especially the agricultural sector. |
