Police Disperse Students With Water Cannons, Tears Morality Campaign Banners

Tense altercations occurred between students and the faculty director at Faculty of Law in Al Mansura University on Tuesday, November 4. In turn, he tore the banners of MB students, threatening to dismiss them. He was accompanied by some workers and members of the state security wearing as civilians. When the students rejected this way, they separated those angry students using firefighting hoses.

Those banners were belonging to the campaign “Raqi Be’akhlaqi” (Superior by my Ethics) launched by MB students at various Egyptian universities. Abdur-Rahman Al Kholy, media spokesman of MB students at Al Mansura University, denounced in an exclusive statement to Ikhwaweb what happened, describing the scene as repression for the students’ freedoms and blurring any activity for MB students, asserting that it is farcical.

At Alexandria University, the administration of Faculty of Law dismissed six MB students because of their reception for the freshmen students, without investigations. The students are: Mustafa Imam, Ahmed Hassan, Mustafa Abdul-Maqsoud and Sameh Samir, and two women students: Safeyya and Doha.

Scores of MB students were arrested and dismissed; hundreds were referred to investigations, in addition to scores being excluded from university cities, trying to limit their activities after the students’ election fraud.
