Sinai Bedouins released Brigadier General Hasan Kamil; a leader of Anti-Riot Police in Rafah, and 51 soldiers after abducting them Wednesday dawn from the security point of Wadi El Arzaq at the international mark no. 19 on the Egyptian borders 18km south of the land exit of Rafah.

Abductors kept the hostages and called for a fair trial of the officer who is responsible for the murder of four Bedouins on Tuesday.

This happened 24 hours later after the kidnapping of Brigadier General Mohamed El Shaarwi (a leader of the Anti-Riot Police) and other 25 soldiers inside the border police station of El Madfouna in protest against the murder of a man from Shabanah area and injuring another one at the hands of the police forces.

They were released in a desert area North of Sinai near EL Ouga crossing at the Egyptian- Palestinian borders.
