Egyptian Security Apparatus prevented the broadcasting of a TV program on the Lebanese Al-Manar Satellite Channel, whose guest was Muslim Brotherhood leader Dr. Essam El-Erian.

Essam Elerian was invited to the show to speak about the importance of inter-faith dialogue.

"I received a call from the program moderator to apologize for not being able to broadcast the talk show for technical reasons; however, sources at the channel told me that the ban was for security and political reasons," said El-Erian.

He asserted that this was not the first time. He was also prevented from attending Al-Jazeerah Talk Show with the presenter Ahmad Mansour to speak about the political future of the Muslim Brotherhood after the 2005 parliamentary elections.
