The MB parliamentary bloc has condemned the transfer of Magdy Hussein (Secretary General of the Labor Party and Chief Editor of the suspended Alshab Newspaper) to the Military Court due to his entrance to Gaza Strip without obtaining a permission from the authorities.

The MB parliamentary bloc called for the necessity of ending this trial by the Military Court since it abolishes all rights of civilians to defend themselves.

Dr. Mohamed Saad Elkatatni (Head of the MB parliamentary bloc) stated in a press release that entrance of Egyptians to Gaza shouldn’t be considered as a crime, especially at this very time where the enemy has invaded Gaza and destroyed everything, pointing out that Gaza Strip is in extreme need of support form everybody.

Katatny stated that the transfer of Magdy Hussein is a message to the Egyptian people “ Do not go near Rafah”, pointing out that this kind of harshness towards an Egyptian who wanted to express his solidarity with people of Gaza is another message saying “Solidarity with Gaza is a redline”.

The MB bloc stressed the necessity of trying Hussein before his natural judge in compliance with provisions of the Egyptian constitution and international conventions ratified by the government and is now a legal obligation.
