The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage revealed Tuesday that the IOA intends to establish a new police station adjacent to the Aqsa Mosque"s western side in Buraq square, warning that this step means that Israel plans for a big assault on the holy Mosque and occupied Jerusalem.

In a statement received by the PIC, the foundation underlined that this scheme escalates the practical steps taken by the Zionist establishment to encircle the Aqsa Mosque and entrench its presence inside it.

It pointed out that this plan comes in light of daily break-ins and suspicious moves carried out by a large group of Israeli police and intelligence throughout the Aqsa Mosque.

The statement warned that this Israeli police presence would augment the suffering of Palestinian worshipers, noting that the IOA already established police checkpoints inside the Aqsa Mosque, near Al-Qatanin market in the old city of Jerusalem and within the borders of the Buraq wall in addition to police stations around the Mosque.
