Dr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the secretary-general of the organization of the Islamic conference (OIC), stated Sunday that his visit to the post-war Gaza is intended to support the Palestinian people after the Israeli wanton war that violated all humanitarian standards.

"I came here to express the Islamic peoples" solidarity with the Palestinian people and Gaza in these difficult circumstances in the aftermath of the wanton aggression that infringed all laws of war and peace, and all international norms and conventions," Dr. Ihsanoglu told a news conference held upon his arrival in Gaza.

The OIC head pointed out that his visit to Gaza is the third, adding that his delegation includes officials from OIC in addition to representatives of relief organizations from Turkey and the Gulf countries.

"At this visit, we seek to confirm the meaning of solidarity and rehabilitate and rebuild what was destroyed by the occupation in this vicious war," the OIC head added.
