Lawyers Syndicate Nominations Begin Today

The judicial committee supervising the professional syndicate elections opened nomination doors for the Lawyers Syndicate today, Monday, April 12, for a week to be followed by challenge procedures against nominees before elections are held on May 23.

The judicial committee supervising the professional syndicate elections opened nomination doors for the Lawyers Syndicate today, Monday, April 12, for a week to be followed by challenge procedures against nominees before elections are held on May 23.

 

On the other hand, attempts to halt elections before they start the past few days continued as the syndicate’s judicial guard Ahmed El-Ghatoury along with other lawyers presented a challenge against the elections to the Administrative Judicial Court for the third time, a matter that was widely rejected by lawyers.

 

The Legal Practice Seniors Committee emphasized that it was against any attempts to hamper the lawyers’ syndicate elections for the third time affirming that it would intervene in the time it sees appropriate to prevent them.

 

The Legislative Committee of the Lawyers Syndicate also expressed its hope in that lawyers assume their responsibility by holding the elections on time and in a pro-active manner that suits the their profession affirming that the next phase has no capacity for election-hampering experts.
