Yemeni MB Condemn the Use of Excessive Force Against Citizens By Authorities in Habalayn

The Yemeni Supreme Council for the Parties of the Joint Meeting, which the Yemeni Grouping for Reform - Yemeni MB - is one most prominent pillars, has condemned the use of excessive force, violence and shooting live ammunition at citizens by security forces in Habalayn, which caused the death of two citizens and the injury of dozens.

 

The Supreme Council for the Parties of the Joint Meeting in a press release stated that what was done by the security forces has contributed to the exacerbation of tension and violence through which the government converted the peaceful movement to violence, brought troubles to itself and got the country in mazes.

 

The Parties of the Joint Meeting called the authority and its organs to stop these repressive practices which are contrary to the Constitution and law, warning of militarizing the civilian life. They also demanded to hold accountable the perpetrators and the ones who ordered the shooting the demonstrators.

 

The joint meeting has renewed solidarity with the families of martyrs and wounded and wished them quick recovery.
