MB Electoral List Wins Elections of Cairo University’s Teaching Staff
The list of “Reform And Renewal” (MB in Cairo University) has won the elections of Cairo University’s Teaching Staff on Saturday 25th of April 2009, while the “Change” list, which has members belonging to the Working Group For the Independence of Universities, 9th of March, did not achieve a tangible success

The list of “Reform And Renewal” (MB in Cairo University) has won the elections of Cairo University’s Teaching Staff on Saturday 25th of April 2009, while the “Change” list, which has members belonging to the Working Group For the Independence of Universities, 9th of March, did not achieve a tangible success.

 

Among winning professors were Dr. Omaima Kamel Abdel Hai who won 964 votes, Dr. Adel Abdel Gawwad with 829 votes, Dr. Metwalli Abdel Aziz Ahmad with 845 votes, Dr. Al-Mohammadi Ismail Madi with 864 votes, Dr. Medhat Assem with 1027 votes and Dr. Nasr Radwan with 894 votes.

 

As for assistant professors, four have won, three teachers, and from the Assistance Association two professors have won.

 

It should be noted that the number of valid votes was 1078 votes. It is also worth mentioning the Ministry of Social Security’s rejection to hold the elections of the Teaching Staff, however the previous club’s council refused the decision of the Ministry and insisted on holding elections on its scheduled time.
