MB: It’s Premature to Judge Obama’s Visit Before It Begins
MB issued statement regarding President Obama’s visit to Egypt and his long anticipated speech to the Muslim world on June 4th. The statement indicated that it would be premature for Muslim Brotherhood to form a clear stance towards the visit before it even begins, and it will wait to hear from the U.S President his vision for the future of US-Muslims relations and democracy promotion the Middle East, as well as the reaction of the Egyptian government

MB issued statement regarding President Obama’s visit to Egypt and his long anticipated speech to the Muslim world on June 4th. The statement indicated that it would be premature for Muslim Brotherhood to form a clear stance towards the visit before it even begins, and it will wait to hear from the U.S President his vision for the future of US-Muslims relations and democracy promotion the Middle East, as well as the reaction of the Egyptian government
 
The MB stressed that “we judge things based on its results, and we will comment on the visit after it concludes, since the program of the visit, its nature and objectives have not been publicized yet”.
 
The MB also criticized the state of emergency declared in Egypt since 1981, and the government crackdown on civil liberties. It reiterated, however, that the Egyptian people are standing together in the face of all attempts of foreign hegemony, and they refuse [Egyptian people] normalization with the Zionist regime in Israel.
