The Israeli occupation authority controlled municipality of Jerusalem has forced two Palestinian families in occupied Jerusalem to flatten parts of their homes with their own hands.

Local sources said that Osama Hushaima was forced to knock down a 30 square meter room that was added to his home in Jerusalem"s Old City.

He was previously handed a warning from the municipality that he would be fined 17,000 dollars if he did not demolish this room.

In another suburb in the Old City Jamal Said was also forced to tear down a 25 square meter room, kitchen and bathroom.

The IOA municipality had previously fined him about 6,000 dollars for building without permit, which Palestinian inhabitants of the holy city say it is almost impossible to acquire.
