Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya stated Sunday that the Egyptian delegation that visited Ramallah proposed solutions for eliminating the contentious points between Hamas and Fatah especially the file of political arrest in the West Bank. During a ceremony held to honor memorizers of the holy Quran, premier Haneyya stressed that the Movement of Hamas is ready to provide the requisites for the achievement of national reconciliation, hailing the Egyptian efforts made to bridge the gap between the Palestinian rivals. In a press interview conducted on the same day by the Palestinian Al-Rai newspaper, Haneyya urged Fatah faction to work with Hamas to confront the common enemy in order to restore the usurped rights and establish the Palestinian state, emphasizing that the best option to achieve that is to end the internal division. Regarding the impact of the last Israeli war on the performance of the government, he said that his government managed in a short time to absorb many of the repercussions of the military aggression, affirming that the ministries, despite the difficulties, work vigorously to restore things in Gaza back to normal. |
