Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk, the deputy political bureau chief of Hamas, has affirmed that his Movement will head to Cairo to attend the national dialog session.

He told Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper published on Wednesday that his Movement had adopted a sincere decision to end the internal Palestinian rift, and had prepared various work papers for all pending issues, which were waiting for a Fatah response away from foreign dictates or pressures.

The Hamas leader said that formation of a national unity government was blocked by foreign conditions that demands for the recognition of Israel, shunning resistance and other items, which were refused by Hamas.

He said that Saudi Arabia was backing the national dialog talks held under Egyptian patronage, adding that his Movement welcomed any Arab role in cementing Palestinian ranks.

Abu Mazrouk said that Hamas was not supportive of popular attempts to break the borders between Gaza and Egypt.

Shifting to the issue of the captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, he said that the delay in the question was due to the absence of an Israeli mediator, who was recently appointed.

Hamas is interested in finding an early end to this question that would stipulate release of Palestinian prisoners in return for Shalit"s freedom.
