The Ministry of Interior issued an arrest warrant for the re-arresting of Dr. Mostafa Diab MB candidate for the Parliament for Kafr Saqr in Sharqeya. He was transferred to Wadi Al-Natron prison, despite the ruling of his release by the Kafr Saqr Prosecution on August 28. His laboratory was raided on Wednesday August 27, and he was arrested on charges of organizing Ramadan's Annual Competition. Dr. Diab became a candidate for the Kafr Saqr electoral district after MP Sheikh Maher Aql passed away. He was also Sheikh Aql's son in law. In a related issue note the fate of each; Ahmed Abdel Maqsoud (former Secretary-General of Teacher's Union), and Adel Salah Abdel Rahman (Marriage official of Sherqaya village), remain the same as Dr. Diab, - that is continued detention. The defence of 16 MB members from Zaqaziq Centre submitted an appeal against the decision of Zaqaziq Prosecution to renew the group's detention; however a date for the hearing has not been set.
