Mohamed Abdel Rahim, Head of Students Affairs Department at Azhar University, announced the expulsion of more than 450 students in the university, most of them are from the Muslim Brotherhood movement.

Abdel Rahim stressed to Ikhwanweb that the rejection of the student's applications to remain in the University's hostel in Nasr City was based on the State Security's investigations which holds records of the students condemning their recurrent political participation.

He added "the expulsions include two lists. The first has all the names of those who attended a Disciplinary Board stressing that anyone whose name is listed is expelled and the second list includes names of political activists.
