The member of the MB parliamentary Bloc, MP Ali Laban urged the government to build a bridge that links between the Saudi Arabia and Egypt from the island of Tiran in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt and Ras Hamid in Tabouk, Saudi Arabia.

In an urgent question aimed at the Prime Minister, Mr. Laban condemned the `the importance of building this bride

"This recommendation has repeatedly been emphasized following each incident in which many Egyptians die, where the most recent incident was that of   Al-Salam ferry in which more than one thousand Egyptians drowned."

He explained that building this bridge would revive trade between Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other countries. It would also be beneficial for the countries in the Arab, African, Asian and Islamic region, pointing out that KSA authorities and the Saudi Arabian traders welcomed the idea, claiming that they would build it with their own expenses, without costing our government anything.

Laban questioned if there was any legitimacy behind the allegations of the existence of US-Zionist pressures behind Egypt's refusal to build the bridge.
