Defense lawyer for the Muslim Brotherhood movement Abdul Monem Abdul Maqsoud revealed that the number of the movement's members who were to spend "Eid" (Muslim celebration for the end of Ramadan) behind bars reached 231 detainees.

Detainees include 5 from the Muslim Brotherhood Executive Bureau. On the top of the list are Eng. Khayrat Elshater Deputy Chairman of the movement, Dr Abdul Monem Abul Fotouh, Dr Mohamed Ali Bishr, Dr Mahmoud Hussein and Dr Ossama Nasr.

Ninety-eight detainees are behind bars as a result of the "Emergency Law" and those awaiting court rules number over 100, and those who have been sentenced are 18. More than 65 detainees have received release orders which have been ignored by government security where they have been rearrested.

Those who suffer from conditions have also felt the brunts of the violations are 35 where a few receive some health care within the prison.

Detainees over the age of 75 have not received any compassion despite orders. They include Sayed Nazeely, Hamdy Ibrahim and Abdul Rahman Algamal.

The governorate with the most detainees is Suez where there are 35 behind bars and Aswan is the governorate with the least numbers.
