GAZA, (PIC)-- The government of Ismail Hnaeyya has asked the Egyptian authorities to facilitate the entry of the European aid convoy miles of smiles that has been stranded off the Egyptian harbor of Port Said for two weeks.
Taher Al-Nunu, the government's spokesman, told a press conference with the participation of Hamdy Shaat, the head of the government committee to break the siege, on Thursday that the government was closely following up the issue.
He noted that the convoy mainly comprises medical assistance especially to the disabled children and is accompanied by 100 foreign activists from ten European countries.
Nunu said that his government would continue to try and persuade the Egyptian leadership to allow access for this convoy, and called for more such convoys to the beleaguered people of Gaza.

deplorable role of egypt Fahmida Abdul Sattar
Egpyt's role over palestinian issue is very astonishing and deploring that despite being Arab and Muslim majority country egypt always sides with Israel.and european convoy deserve lots of appreciation that they came from an other continent to help those people whom they have no relation except that of humanity and Muslim countries despite religious commonality and contiguous geography do not help the destitute Gazans. egypt has big population and if these people stand against govt's policy of supporting israel and they approach gaza borders to help gazans so i dont think your govt can sustain its evil policy of besieging gaza.
