Egyptian University students from all political movements and trends called for the amendment of the constitution with regards to the banning of political activities within the Universities' campuses. The students called for the ending of the violations of the freedom of expression for all and not just for the chosen few appointed by the Universities administrations.

Ikhwanonline was able to get a copy of the statement which included claims by the students that the injustice practiced on the students with regards to such issues as elections and freedom of speech coincided with the NDP's 6th annual summit. The NDP speakers spoke contradictory words to the leading party's actions where they called for the youth to be involved in the country's future with regards to preparing the youth to become potential leaders. Moreover the speakers claimed they advocated the practicing of free will in an attempt to prepare the students for the outside world; however the regime in fact arrested students who dared voice their opinion demonstrating hypocrisy, deceit and insincerity.
