The long awaited release of Dr. Gamal Abdul Salam; and about time too!

Security services released Dr. Gamal Abdul Salam, Rapporteur of the Jerusalem Committee of the Arab Doctors Union and the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate in 2005 legislative elections after receiving an acquittal from the South Cairo Criminal Court.

Security services, released Dr. Gamal Abdul Salam, Rapporteur of the Jerusalem Committee of the Arab Doctors Union and the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate in 2005 legislative elections after receiving an acquittal from the South Cairo Criminal Court.

Dr. Gamal Abdel-Salam had been detained since his arrest on June 28 in the renowned cases no 404 for 2009 State Security known in the media as “the international network”.

The Supreme State Security had ignored release orders 8 consecutive times renewing the detention each time for 15 days along with leading Brotherhood’s leaders, led by Dr Abdul Monem Abul Fotouh, member of the executive Bureau and secretary-general of the Arab doctors union.
