The Alexandria Criminal court supported the decision made earlier by the Misdemeanors' court to release 11 Muslim Brotherhood detainees earlier today. Release orders were issued to:
In a twisted change of heart Chancellor Mahmoud Sameer ordered a 45 day renewal of detention for Abdul Mordy Mohamed who was formerly arrested with the released group and who was facing the same charges.
In a related context the misdemeanors' court overruled an appeal filed for 4 Brotherhood members ordering the extension of their detention. The detainees from West Alexandria include:
