2 Democratic Party MPs Call For Dismissing Israeli Ambassador

Two MPs affiliated to the ruling National Party in Egypt attacked the Israeli ambassador to Cairo, and described him as ’infidel’ and demanded dismissing him from the country, and pulling the Egyptian ambassador to Israel.
MP Alaa Hassanein said, during a hot parliamentary discussion around an Israeli documentary about killing Egyptian unarmed soldiers in 1967 war, that " the Jews killed prophets and messengers and broke pledges with the Prophet of Islam; what will they do with their treaties with Egypt or any another Arab country".
As for MP Mahmoud Salim, he described the Israeli ambassador as "a dog " and demanded firing him.

A declaration of war

Several MPs called also during the discussion for declaring war against Tel Aviv; the independent MP Mahmoud Amer said fighting Israel is more decent than such a state of humiliation and surrender.
Salam Al Raqi’i, an independent MP for Sinai Peninsula, reiterated the same demand, pointing out that mass graves of Egyptian soldiers and civilians from Sinai are still found, the latest of which was two months ago.
Mostafa Al-Feqi, MP for the ruling party and chairman of the Committee of Foreign Affairs attributed airing the documentary to Tel Aviv’s desire to raise the morales of its citizens, and he said that Israel is leaking information premeditatedly this to restore the trust of the Israeli public opinion after it was shaken during the last war of Lebanon.
He added that the airing the documentary targets intimidating the Arab armies.
Also, the chairman of the committee for Arab affairs, Saad Al-Gammal, said that the documentary proves the Israel’s violation to the international laws and does not help in building trust between peoples, and he questioned the benefit of normalization with Israel.
For his part, Abdul Aziz Saif Al Nasr the Assistant Foreign Minister for legal affairs who attended the discussion confirmed that he summoned the Israeli ambassador to give an interpretation for the documentary aired by channel one of the Israeli television.
He added that Cairo asked its ambassador to Israel to officially demand a copy of the documentary from the Ehud Olmert’s government.
Israeli media say that the documentary shows an Israeli military unit led by the current Minister of Infrastructure, Benjamin Ben Eliezer, .
