Hamas Movement has urged Thursday Mahmoud Abbas, former PA chief, not to return to the table of negotiations with the Israelis, warning that returning to the futile negotiations would benefit the Israelis and not the Palestinians.

“Indeed, Abbas should give more attention now to achieving the Palestinian national reconciliation and not to focus on the futile negotiations with the Israelis because it would serve as political cover for the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, and would help the Israelis to go ahead with their schemes to judaize the Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem”, asserted Fawzi Barhoum, the spokesman of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

In this regard, Barhoum called on Abbas and Fatah faction to answer the “national call”, and to “prepare the atmosphere” for achieving the national harmony and to rearrange the Palestinian home in order to be able to confront all the challenges surrounding the Palestinian people.

“They (Abbas and Fatah) should care for Palestinian issues and they should give priority to the Palestinian-Palestinian relationships in order to restore the prestige of the Palestinian national project” Barhoum underscored.
