Hamas welcomes British expulsion of Israeli diplomat.
Hamas has welcomed the British decision to expel an Israeli diplomat from London for his involvement in the assassination of Hamas leader Mahmuod Al-Mabhouh in Dubai last January.

Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil, one of the Hamas leaders in Gaza, ascertained in a press statement on Tuesday that Israeli leaders should be prosecuted in international courts. He said that the Israeli leaders had committed war crimes and crimes against humanity. For his part, Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, said that the British decision is clear-cut proof on the involvement of Israel in the assassination of Mabhouh. In a statement to PIC on Tuesday , Abu Zuhri said he held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the murder of Mabhouh, adding that expelling the diplomat was not enough and all those involved in the murder should be prosecuted. The Daily Telegraph said in its Tuesday edition that the British foreign office was expected to officially charge the Israeli foreign intelligence (Mossad) with assassinating Mabhouh. |
