Egyptian security forces arrest two Muslim Brotherhood members from the street in the northern governorate of Qalyubiyah.

The Egyptian security forces arrested, on Sunday, two Muslim Brotherhood members from a street in Kafr Shukr of Qalyubiyah, north of Cairo, and issued an arrest warrant against two others.

The two detainees are Rajab Nabih, owner of a workshop, and Essam Abdul Razek, a merchant, while the arrest warrant was issued against Eng. Nagi Mahmoud Al Sayed, an engineer in the military factories, and Refaie Shahat Sherif, a technician in an oil company.

For his part, Mohsen Radi, a member of parliament for Qalyubiyah said that these detentions are a part of the same scheme of the Egyptian security services to curb the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood group, the biggest opposition group in the parliament, and to prevent it from fielding candidates in the coming Shura Council elections.

It is worth mentioning that these detentions are part of a two-month crackdown carried out by the Egyptian autocratic regime against leaders and businessmen affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood group, the latest of which was last Feb. 15 sweep of arrests in which 81 MB members were arrested, the biggest since last Dec. 14 crackdown that included Eng. Mohamed Khairat Al Shater, the MB second deputy chairman, along with other MB leaders.
