Black List of the names of the Officers and Warden of Burg Al Arab prison

The Lawyers Syndicate in Alexandria announced the setting up of a list which will include the names of officers and the warden of Burg Al Arab Prison. Those on the list will be leveled with charges including the continuous violation of the rule of law.

Hassan Sobhy, Secretary General of the Lawyers Syndicate in Alexandria , told Ikhwanweb “We will soon acquire all the names of the violating officers and wardens responsible for violating the law and hindering the lawyers' tasks".

He stressed that this step will establish direct collaboration between the syndicate and NGOs in an attempt to expose the corruption. He added that the syndicate will also take further actions to tackle the judiciary's violations.

The legal confrontation began three weeks ago, and lawyers have submitted a complaint to the Attorney General against Officer Tamer Eldosoqi following his attack against lawyer Mohamed Elesawy. Another complaint was also submitted against the prison warden Gamal Mekhemar and officer Mohamed Abdel Hafez.

He asserted that the lawyers would continue in the investigations and call for those responsible to be accountable.
