The Misdemeanors Appeal Court in Damanhour accepted the submitted appeal, demanding the release of Dr. Gamal Heshmat and Eng. Osama Suleiman who were unjustly arrested and detained. The decision came after Prosecutor ordered a 15 day detention to the MB leaders, and transfer to Borg el-Arab Prison The order for their continued detention comes after they were arrested at one of the checkpoints on the outskirts of Damanhour in the Beheira governorate. Forces later ransacked and searched their houses Both detainees staged a hunger strike in protest to the complete violation of human rights practiced against them which has caused illnesses after continuing for three days |
