Mosad Zaki, of the local council divulged to 'Ikhwanweb', the Muslim Brothehood's official English website, that security forces seized more than 350 detainees including women and children in an unprecedented scene.

He denounced the security forces cordoning of the whole island with intentions to prevent its exit and entry in order to terrorize residents.  Zaki claimed that the district is in an extreme state of rage pointing out that residents have previously complained against the decision and the situation of the island's instability; the decision however will be implemented.

Residents maintained that the current state of rage and contempt will continue until demands are met. The locals insisted that their land not be sold to investors, since it would definitely lead to their displacement.
An urgent meeting is scheduled for Sunday at the Local Council to discuss the recent incidents and current situation of the island in an effort to appease the people and find solutions to their demands.
