Supporters and campaigners were banned from continuing in their rounds as the NDP employed their thugs to thwart the movement. Armored security vehicles and buses transported the thugs who clashed with supporters and police arrested more than 15 of the candidate's supporters. In a statement to 'Ikhwanweb' Abdul Hamid Rashad deplored the oppression against the MB and their supporters asserting that the offensive measures used by the regime's security apparatus reflected the extent of the regime's fear of the MB's success in the elections. "The continued animosity demonstrates the true intentions of the authorities regarding the Mubarak's claims of free and fair elections. |
